China (Hubei)

Cooperation with Hubei Province within malaria control programs using formulations based on Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis.

China (Hubei)

In close cooperation with the Parasitological Institute in Wuhan (capital of Hubei Province and partner region of Baden-Württemberg) and GFS, control strategies were developed targeting Anopheles sinensis, a vector of malaria parasites. This included research stays by GFS scientists in Wuhan as well as visits by Chinese researchers to Heidelberg. The cooperation project ran from 1987 to 1991 and was funded by the State of Baden-Württemberg and the Province of Hubei. It resulted in numerous scientific publications and practical applications of the research findings.
